Who operates the pot launcher?

Yeah, who does? Are the hydraulic controls of the pot launcher located near it? And are they operated by the guys who secure the doors of the pot shut? Or are the controls over by the buy who runs the crane?

On some boats the controls are behind the coiler and block.

there is 1 person on controls, who is responsible for lifting the pot out of the water, and then securing the dogs, lifting the launcher, and then if they're stacking, moving the pot to the stack. <and vice versa> it is usually rotated amongst the crew that can run hydros.
